Our plumbing services

Commercial

  • Commercial maintenance

Offices, shopping centres, schools, apartment and strata buildings and government facilities: leaking and burst pipes, blocked and slow drains, taps, valves and fixtures, backflow devices and gas pipework.

  • Backflow testing and certification

A backflow prevention device with a test gauge and three test hoses connected

Reduced pressure zone devices, double check valves and other backflow prevention devices on water services, fire services and in plant rooms, for commercial buildings, apartments and strata, schools and government facilities.

  • CCTV and jetting

A Giant Plumbing team member in hi-vis runs the drain camera reel into a wall penetration in a car park

Commercial sewer and stormwater lines, floor wastes, gullies and pits. We find cracks, displaced joints, tree roots, silt and blockages on camera and clear the line with our own jetter.

  • Leak detection

A Giant Plumbing team member listens for a leak with a ground microphone and headphones beside a bluestone wall

Underground service lines and branches, pipework under slabs, and leaks inside walls, ceilings and risers on commercial water services. We find the leak, then repair it and reinstate the area.

  • Water filtration

Fitted on the incoming water supply, or on a single line serving drinking taps, coffee machines, ice machines and other equipment in commercial buildings.

  • Gasfitting

A Giant Plumbing technician works on copper gas pipework below a gas valve against a stainless steel wall

Gas pipework, appliance connections and repairs for commercial kitchens and catering facilities.

Industrial

Factories, warehouses, workshops and food production sites.

  • Industrial maintenance

Wash-down areas, trench and floor drains, water supply pipework, valves and fixtures, maintained around production.

  • Fault-finding on operating sites

A technician checks the gas pressure at an industrial burner with a handheld digital gauge

Recurring blockages, drains that back up, loss of pressure, unexplained water use, wet floors and slabs, and leaks that cannot be seen. We trace the cause before we propose a repair.

  • Drainage and underground services

A Giant Plumbing team member steps across a new concrete drainage pit with pipes connected

Sewer and stormwater drains, pits, underground water services and service trenches on commercial and industrial sites, including new runs, repairs and excavation where the pipe is buried.

Residential

  • Blocked drains

A Giant Plumbing team member in a branded hoodie sets up the drain camera at a house

Blocked toilets, kitchen sinks, showers and baths, laundry troughs, floor wastes, gullies and stormwater drains, including slow and gurgling drains and tree roots in the line. We clear them with our own high-pressure jetter and inspect the line on camera to find the cause.

  • Burst water services

A Giant Plumbing team member repairs a burst water service in a road excavation, traffic cones around him

Burst and leaking pipes, water service lines, and pipes under slabs, driveways and gardens. We find the break, dig down to the pipe, repair it and reinstate the area.

  • General plumbing

A brass mixer tap and sink set into a stone benchtop under a kitchen window

Leaking taps and mixers, toilet and cistern repairs, shower repairs, pipework repairs and replacement, and plumbing for kitchens, bathrooms and laundries.

  • Leak detection

Leaks under floors and slabs, inside walls and ceilings, behind showers and in underground pipes. We find the leak, then repair it where it starts.

  • Gasfitting

Gas cooktops and ovens, gas room heaters, outdoor gas connections, new gas points and gas pipework repairs.

Frequently asked questions

Can you work around our operating hours?

We plan access and shutdowns with your site contact before we start, and stage the work so the parts of the building that need to keep running do.

Do you work for facility managers?

We carry out maintenance, backflow testing and fault-finding for facility, property and asset managers on the buildings they look after.

Do you carry out CCTV drain inspections?

For a normal blockage we attend and clear the line. Where the cause is not clear, we inspect it on camera, and if that shows a bigger problem, such as a cracked or collapsed pipe, we quote the repair before work starts.

Do you certify backflow devices?

We test backflow prevention devices on water and fire services and issue the certificate on completion.

Do you take on residential work as well as commercial?

Yes. Our work is mainly commercial and industrial, and we also do residential plumbing across Melbourne.
